# Parallel Developer Documentation Legacy – v1.x

Once you have confirmed that a user is logged in and has agreed to share their information, you can call the [server API methods](https://developer.parallelmarkets.com/docs/1.x/server) directly from JavaScript using the `api()` function. This function accepts an endpoint path as the first argument and a callback function as the second.

## Profile API Call

For example, here's some code that calls the [Profile API](https://developer.parallelmarkets.com/docs/1.x/server/profile-api) (i.e., the `/me` endpoint):
